Editorial Vacancies

Easy AdSense by Unreal

We are looking for sub-editors and commissioned article writers for Brittany Writers Magazine.

If you enjoy writing, reading or simply looking to fill your spare time helping us here at BWM then please contact us by email or use the comments form below.

Sorry but we cannot pay anyone for their services at this time as this is a non-profit making labour of love :)

How it works.

If you think writing for Brittany Writers Magazine is a good idea, then contact us using email, or the form below. We shall then ask you to submit an article of your choosing. We shall let you know as soon as we have read it whether it will be suitable for publication (we may ask you to re-write the article if we feel it will improve our reader’s experience).

Next, we publish your article and our readers shall become avid fans of your prose, they will even post comments, perhaps heap praise upon your masterpiece :) – You now have a published article to be proud of.

After 3 articles.

Once we have published 3 of your enlightening articles you will be invited to become a regular contributor. This is indeed an encumbrance honour, wonderful things will now start to happen to you.

We shall give you your very own “control panel” – you will then be able to enter the BWM “rear door” – and publish your own articles any time you like, day or night.

Become a copy editor.

If you wish to widen your areas of responsibility, why not become a copy editor? Obviously you need to be good at spelling and grammar “like wot our editor is!!” (OK so I’m not so gifted in that department, but I am creative – Ed) – You will be given the special key to the “rear door” – this is a privileged position of real power, and to attain it you must leave a member of your family, or the title deeds to your house, in the site administrator’s Swiss bank vault!

Interested?  If so, contact BWM and we shall be delighted to discuss things further.

    Hi Andrea,

Many thanks for your interest in Brittany Writers Magazine.

We are always looking for new talent and would be pleased to welcome you as a contributor to the magazine.

We have few rules here as it is the writers and contributors who set the agenda. All we ask is that your work be original and attributed to you. We are happy to display work that you have had published previously. Your articles and stories can be on any subject, though our readers do like France related pieces.

Ideally, articles or short stories should be between 500 and 2000 words. Original Jpeg images (max 2) can be submitted with your piece.

If you have a particular area of expertise or preference in your writing, please do share your experience with our regular readers.

As you may have seen on the website we cannot pay for submitted articles, however we shall be happy to help you promote your work to other commission-paying publications. Many editors visit BWM on a regular basis looking for content for their own publications.

In the new year we shall begin a series of writing competitions and all submitted articles will be eligible. Further details will be announced early in 2010.

I hope the above is helpful and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Regards,

    Ed.
